Chiranjeevi’s Praja Rajyam Party once again failed to get a common symbol for 2009 assembly and loksabha elections.
The Praja Rajyam spokesperson, Mr Parakala Prabhakar said in Hyderabad, that the party would move the Supreme Court for the symbol. Mr Parakala Prabhakar said, however, that the party had not received the communication from the Election Commission.
According to sources, the Election Commission has said that only recognized political parties are eligible for a permanent symbol while registered parties will have to choose from the ”free symbols” available.
