Chiranjeevi is Contesting from Tirupati

Chiranjeevi, Praja Rajyam Party Supremo, disclosed that he was keen to contest from Tirupathi and his hometown Narsapuram. He previously said that he is willing to contest from two constituencies just like late Sri NT Rama Rao.
Praja Rajyam Party is still struggling to find right candidates for various constituencies. Chiranjeevi says that they are still evaluating suitable candidates keeping in mind his promise of Social Justice and he don’t want to take wrong people in a rush.

PRP Candidates for 2009 AP Assembly elections

1. Tirupati: Chiranjeevi

2. Nellore: Mitra

3. Venkatagiri: Vanki Penchaliah

4. Sreesailam: Budda Seshareddy

5. Panyam: Santharamudu

6. Banaganapalli: Katasani Ramreddy

Local surveys are predicting 25-30 seats for Praja Rajyam Party in the 2009 Assembly elections but it will play vital role in the Godavari and Northern Coastal Andhra regions.

PRP Announced Candidates for Assembly elections 2009

Chiranjeevi’s Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) unofficially announced candidates list for 2009 Assembly and Loksabha elections.

Some highlights of the announcement (unofficial) are:

  • PRP President Chiranjeevi will contest from Tirupati. He also said he contests from three different places.
  • PRP Party spokesperson Mitra will contest from Nellore Assembly segment.
  • S.T candidate Munemma will contest from some general seat in Nellore district

According to the sources of Prajarajyam Party sources, PRP will contest from 294 Assembly seats and 42 Loksabha seats.
