Here are some of the highlights of the BJP manifesto for Andhra 2009 Assembly Elections.
- Formation of Telangana state in 100 days,
- Farmers’ loan waiver for upto Rs 50,000,
- A scheme to deposit Rs 21,116 for girl child
- Offering ‘mangal sutra’ to poor brides
Seeking to cash in on the sentiments for separate Telangana statehood in the region, the BJP promised it would carve out Telangana state out of AP in 100 days if the NDA came to power at the Centre.

Ap Congress president D. Srinivas and CM Dr. Rajasekhar Reddy released the APAssembly Election Manifesto in the wake of stiff competition from the TDP that has promised several freebies to the voter including TV sets. AP Congress maintained that its agenda was to fulfil the development oriented tasks it began five years ago.
Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy released the manifesto that did not have any major claim apart from uniterrupted power supply for all from June and an additional two kg rice per person.

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President Mr. Chandrababu Naidu released TDP Manifesto for 2009 AP Assembly Elections in the same lines as Tamilnadu’s DMK party’s manifesto in prior elections. The manifesto includes such popularistic promises such as distribution of color TVs to poor families and distribution of money every month for families below the pverty line, poor families and middle class families.
