TDP Manifesto for 2009 AP Assembly Elections

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President Mr. Chandrababu Naidu released TDP Manifesto for 2009 AP Assembly Elections in the same lines as Tamilnadu’s DMK party’s manifesto in prior elections. The manifesto includes such popularistic promises such as distribution of color TVs to poor families and distribution of money every month for families below the pverty line, poor families and middle class families.

TDP will contest in 213 Assembly seats

We finally got a clear picture about seat sharing agreement among “Mahakootami” parties. According to Eenadu daily, TDP will contest in 213 Assembly seats while TRS will contest in 45 assembly seats and 9 Loksabha segments in 2009 polls.

CPI and CPM will contest in 18 seats each. Left parties will contest in 20 Telangana Assembly segments and 16 segments in Andhra and Rayalaseema. CPI and CPM will contest in 2 Loksabha seats each.

CPM will contest in:

Palair, Madhira, Bhadrachalam, Nakrekal, Huzurnagar, Ibrahimpatnam, Warangal East, Uppal, Palakonda, Kurupam, Vijayawada Central, Sattenapalle, Santhanuthalapadu, Nellore Rural and Kurnool. Party will contest in another 5 seats.

CPI will contest in:

Kothagudem, Pinapaka, Wyra, Munugode, Devarakonda, Bellampalle, Husnabad, Yakutpura/Chandrayangutta, Paderu, Salur, Vijayawada (West), Vinukonda, Kondapi and Alur.

CPI/CPM will contest in 4 Loksabha constituencies:

Araku/Bhongir, Nalgonda, Khammam and Mahabubabad.
